I grew up going to "church" all my life for 23 years. I thought I was on my way to heaven because I believed Jesus was the Son of God.

When I was in my early to middle teens my brother asked me if I was going to heaven or hell. Because I believed Jesus was Lord, I said I was going to heaven. I had read in the bible that those who live in sin will not go to heaven, but because I believed Jesus was Lord I thought to myself that it didn't apply to me.

Years later, questions started coming to me about if I really believed in Jesus. Another thought came, "can someone die in their sins"; meaning they would go to hell. About two or so years later, I was tired and angry in my life and did not know where I was going (heaven or hell)?

I finally repented of my sins (that is, made a 180 degree turn to sin no more). I sought God for about a month praying and frightened that I was going to hell.

At the end of that time, God started making Himself known that He was there and with me. I started having many dreams where I was casting out demons; and dreams of God speaking to me teaching me and telling me things, and I also started hearing His voice in my head. I even heard Him say my name audibly one night while I was sleeping.

He will make himself known to you if you repent (turn your back on sin) and seek Him with a whole heart. Do not be deceived and think you can enter the kingdom of God if you are living in sin. You cannot serve two masters, you either hate one and love the other or you will be loyal to one and despise the other. How can you love to do good and evil? A house divided cannot stand.

Repent and do what is expectable and pleasing in the sight of the Lord Jesus.
