In 1997 I was 16 years old and very athletic. I played a lot of sports my freshman and sophomore years of high school. On may 22, 1997, I got a severe headache when playing soccer with my best friend. He kicked the ball over a fence and I climbed over to get it. As I straddled the fence, I found myself unable to get off the fence, then I fell off. I somehow picked myself up off the ground, walked in my house to take a tylenol, collapsed, and had a seizure.

I went into a coma for 6 weeks and went through 8 hours of brain surgery. The doctor told my family there was no hope and if they believe in god to start praying. They did. After the surgery my surgeon told my parents surgery went well, but he didn't expect me to ever wake up. If I did I would be a vegetable or I would be retarded. Now I am working full time, going to college, and attending church regularly. I have been saved for 10 years in October 2008.
